MoXIE Power for Infrastructure Deployment
Delivering Reliable, Portable Power Before the Grid Arrives
Why MoXIE Works for Infrastructure Teams
Off-Grid, No-Fuel Operation
MoXIE provides 120V/230V AC or 208V 3-phase power to run tools, network gear, and test equipment at remote locations — no generator, no fuel, no delay.
Perfect for Solar Farm Development
Engineers can power inverters, trenching tools, test kits, and laptops while mapping and commissioning early-stage solar arrays.
Ideal for Surveyors
Run GPS base stations, LiDAR gear, tablets, and comms directly from MoXIE without draining internal batteries or relying on idling trucks.
Cell Tower Pre-Install Sites
MoXIE supports telecom crews with power for rigging tools, microwave alignment, diagnostics, and uplink verification before grid hookup.
Multi-Voltage DC Outputs
MoXIE provides 14V, 28V, and 48V regulated DC outputs — ideal for powering sensitive electronics, routers, radios, and network gear on remote sites.
Portable and Modular
Fits in any SUV or pickup. Scales up to 9kWh with 3 Cells, and can be hotswapped for continuous use at the jobsite.
No Fuel, No Fumes, No Mess
Forget lugging around gas cans, dealing with spills, or breathing in exhaust while trying to focus on the job. MoXIE eliminates fuel handling entirely — no fumes, no risk of leaks, and no smell sticking to your gear or your hands.

Early-stage infrastructure work often occurs in locations with no grid access. Instead of relying on gas generators or hauling long cables from central battery trailers, MoXIE lets field teams bring power directly to where the work is happening. Whether it’s a mountaintop cell site, a surveyor’s tent in open terrain, or trenching zones in a solar farm, MoXIE can be wheeled into place in minutes — delivering scalable, clean energy exactly where it’s needed.
Case Study: Infrastructure Site Power — Solar + Surveying + Telecom
Background
Before new infrastructure sites receive permanent grid power, teams are faced with powering essential tools, data systems, and communications using unreliable generators or vehicle inverters. This creates logistical delays, emissions, and frequent power gaps — particularly for industries like renewable energy, civil surveying, and telecom.
The Challenge
A civil engineering team was tasked with surveying 400 acres for a new solar farm in a remote desert region
- A telecom crew was staging materials and aligning microwave gear at a future tower location with no available grid
- Multiple crews required power for:
- LiDAR scanners and GPS base stations
- Routers, laptops, drones, and radios
- Impact drivers, trenchers, and lighting
Two MoXIE Solo Units were deployed to the site, each paired with three Kodiak Cells:
- Provided 6kWh–9kWh of continuous, swappable power throughout the day
- Powered routers, laptops, and test equipment at the surveyor base station
- Ran 48V tower equipment directly from MoXIE’s regulated DC outputs
- Compact form allowed units to be loaded into standard pickup beds and carried on foot when needed
- Silent operation and no fuel logistics enabled safe use alongside sensitive electronics and environmental monitors
- Reduced overall project time by removing generator setup and refueling delays
- Eliminated fuel storage and noise issues on sensitive federal land
- Enabled day-long operations in both survey and telecom sectors
- MoXIE units were later used to support installation and network equipment commissioning
“MoXIE saved us from burning a drop of fuel on site. We ran our comms, lights, and tools all day long — and still had power left over. This should be standard for every early-stage deployment.“
Suggested MoXIE Configuration for Infrastructure Teams
Component | Role |
---|---|
MoXIE Solo Unit | AC output hub (3.6kW, 120V or 230V); also provides 14V, 28V, and 48V DC |
3x Kodiak Cells* | 6kWh combined capacity with -40°F to 140°F operating range, ideal for outdoor use |
MoXIE Matrix | Smaller inverter for tight spaces; perfect for field bag or compact station use |
Flex Charger | Recharges cells from wall outlet or field inverter |
*Use Vita Cells for maximum capacity in controlled environments or indoor staging areas.
MoXIE delivers silent, scalable energy to keep infrastructure teams powered through the first mile — from surveying and solar to telecom and temporary field setups.
